Two Airlifted in Five-Vehicle Crash on Highway 138 in Pinion Hills
Pinion Hills, CA – November 29, 2024 – A five-vehicle crash early Friday morning on Highway 138, near Wintergreen Road in Pinion Hills, left two people airlifted and three others injured. The accident occurred at 2:04 a.m. and involved a green Lincoln Navigator, an unknown model Jeep, a black Cadillac, and two other unidentified vehicles. Upon arrival, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) found two individuals trapped in the wreckage—one in the Lincoln and the other in the Jeep. Emergency responders extricated the victims, and two medical helicopters, Mercy Air #2 and Reach Air Medical #43, transported the injured to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. One other person was taken by ground ambulance. The current condition of the victims remains unknown, and further details on the crash are limited. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, with a CHP report expected soon.
