Cabazon, CA – A deadly collision involving a passenger vehicle and a big rig occurred early Thursday morning in Cabazon, resulting in one fatality. The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash took place at approximately 12:06 a.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway near Haugen-Lehmann Way . According to investigators, a gray Volkswagen Jetta was struck by a big rig under circumstances that remain under investigation. The driver of the Jetta was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional injuries were reported in the crash. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision and have not released further details at this time.
