Phoenix, AZ – The Phoenix Police Department has identified Donnie Martinez, 23, and Ricardo Quintero, 35, as the two male drivers who tragically lost their lives in a head-on collision in Phoenix on the night of April 18, 2024. The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Orangewood Avenue, just north of Glendale Avenue. According to authorities, Martinez was driving northbound on 43rd Avenue when he crossed into oncoming traffic, striking Quintero’s vehicle head-on. Both men sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, they later succumbed to their injuries. The Phoenix Police Department has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. At this time, details regarding potential contributing factors, such as speed or impairment, have not been released.
