Fresno County, CA, June 15, 2025 – One man was killed and four others injured in a solo-vehicle crash believed to involve alcohol and excessive speed Saturday evening in Fresno County. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Trimmer Springs Road near Lakeview Avenue, above Pine Flat Lake. Authorities identified the deceased as 46-year-old Cristian Jaime. The driver, 40-year-old Luis Estanga of Fresno, was reportedly operating a white GMC pickup truck at a high speed when he failed to safely navigate a sweeping right-hand curve. The vehicle veered off the road and plunged nearly 200 feet down an embankment before rolling several times and colliding with a tree. Emergency responders from multiple agencies rushed to the scene to provide aid. Four other occupants of the truck were injured, with their conditions not yet fully disclosed. Investigators suspect DUI was a contributing factor in the fatal crash.
