Long Beach, CA – June 27, 2025 – A 78-year-old woman was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident Friday night on Orange Avenue near 71st Street in Long Beach. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. as the woman was crossing the street. She was struck by a northbound 2005 Dodge Ram. First responders arrived quickly and transported the woman to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not released her name pending notification of her family . The driver of the Dodge Ram remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police confirmed that the driver was not under the influence, distracted, or speeding at the time of the incident.
