Soap Lake, WA – September 10, 2025 – A tragic motorcycle accident claimed the life of a 36-year-old man on Wednesday night near Soap Lake, according to the Washington State Patrol. The deadly crash occurred on State Route 28 when Jesse Perez of Ephrata was traveling westbound on his motorcycle. For reasons still under investigation, Perez lost control and was ejected from the bike. He landed in the eastbound lane, where he was struck by a truck towing a dump trailer. Perez died at the scene.
