South Los Angeles, CA, July 27, 2025 – Authorities are investigating a deadly incident after a man was found dead early Sunday morning at a bus stop in Watts, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The discovery was made around 5:30 a.m. near 112th Street and South Central Avenue. Officers responding to the scene found a man lying on the ground with what appeared to be stab wounds. A suspect fled the scene on foot but was later detained at a Shell gas station near Central Avenue and Imperial Highway. Reports suggest the suspect may have had a scuffle with LAPD officers before being taken into custody.
