Houston, TX, July 5, 2025 – A man was found dead in the street from multiple gunshot wounds early Saturday morning, July 5, following what appears to have been a shooting incident connected to a nearby house party in Houston’s Third Ward neighborhood. At approximately 1:00 a.m., officers from the Houston Police Department’s South Central Division responded to reports of gunfire in the 3000 block of Delano Street. Upon arrival, they located a male victim lying in the roadway. Officers immediately began performing CPR in an attempt to revive him. Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived shortly after and pronounced the man deceased at the scene. According to authorities, the victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Preliminary information suggests that the victim may have been attending a party at a nearby Airbnb rental, though it is not confirmed whether the gathering was related to Fourth of July celebrations. Investigators detained one man at the scene for questioning, but no suspects have been officially arrested as of this time.
