Richland, WA – A motorcyclist lost their life in a crash involving an off-duty Washington State Patrol (WSP) trooper on Saturday evening, March 1. According to authorities, the collision occurred on Highway 240 when the off-duty trooper’s vehicle collided with the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Following the crash, the trooper was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail on charges of DUI and vehicular homicide . Officials have not yet released the identities of those involved.
