One Killed, Five Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 395 in Lassen County
Lassen County, CA – June 24 — One person was killed, and five others sustained major injuries in a head-on collision on Tuesday morning in Lassen County, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at approximately 6:05 a.m. on June 23 on Highway 395 north of Hall Road in the North Constantia area. According to investigators, a northbound 2025 Chrysler van crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2014 Toyota pickup. Authorities said the Chrysler was driven by Sade Knight, 43, of Sparks, while the Toyota was driven by Candelario AlvarezLoz, 52, of Truckee. A 39-year-old passenger from Sun Valley riding in the Chrysler suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of the family.
