Authorities say the male pedestrian was walking along the westbound side of Reservation Road when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle under circumstances still under investigation. Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported the man to Natividad Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased from his injuries. Following the accident, the westbound lanes of Reservation Road were closed for several hours as traffic investigators examined the scene.
