Sky Valley, CA (August 28, 2025) – A 33-year-old Desert Hot Springs man, identified as Ruben Delgado, was killed in a motorcycle collision on Tuesday afternoon in Sky Valley, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. The crash happened around 1:50 p.m. on Dillon Road, just west of Prospect Road, when Delgado’s motorcycle collided head-on with a trash truck under circumstances still under investigation. Emergency responders transported Delgado to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 2:35 p.m. the same day.

Ruben Delgado, 33, of Desert Hot Springs, tragically lost his life Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle collision on Dillon Road near Prospect Road in the Sky Valley area.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. Delgado was riding a motorcycle westbound on Dillon Road when he collided head-on with a trash truck. The impact ejected him from the motorcycle, and he suffered major trauma. Emergency responders declared Delgado deceased at the scene. The driver of the trash truck was not reported injured. The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation
