San Bernardino, CA, October 16, 2025 – A tragic pedestrian accident claimed the life of 22-year-old Sarah Virgen Sosa on Thursday evening, according to the San Bernardino Police Department. The deadly collision occurred around 6:38 p.m. in the 4000 block of N State Street. Responding officers found Sosa critically injured after being struck by a vehicle under unclear circumstances. Emergency crews transported her to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she was sadly pronounced deceased at 10:34 p.m. that evening.

According to the San Bernardino Police Department and the County Coroner, Sosa had just finished work at approximately 6:38 p.m. and was walking across the street toward her car when she was struck by a southbound SUV.
The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Preliminary investigation is still pending, but authorities are investigating whether factors such as driver error, failure to yield, or visibility issues may have played a role
