Two Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 20 Near King Road; DUI Suspect Arrested
Williams, CA – May 8 — Two people were killed in a head-on collision Friday night on Highway 20 near Williams, according to the California Highway Patrol. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 10:24 p.m. along State Route 20 west of King Road in Colusa County. Authorities said a white sedan and a black SUV collided head-on, leaving debris and shattered glass scattered across the roadway. One of the vehicles was reportedly smoking following the impact. Officials confirmed that two individuals died as a result of the collision. Their identities have not yet been released pending notification of family members. Emergency personnel responded shortly after the crash was reported. Officers from the California Highway Patrol and the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene while tow trucks were called to remove the heavily damaged vehicles. Due to the severity of the incident, Highway 20 was closed in both directions at approximately 10:33 p.m. as investigators examined the crash site and crews worked to clear the roadway.
