Tucson, AZ, June 4, 2025 – Two people were tragically killed Sunday evening in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 10, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The fatal crash occurred on June 1 at approximately 8:30 p.m. near the Speedway exit. Authorities report that the incident began with a minor collision, which left one vehicle disabled and partially blocking a westbound lane of I-10. A second motorist stopped nearby in the median and exited their vehicle to assist the stranded driver. Tragically, as the drivers stood outside, a commercial vehicle traveling along the same stretch of road slammed into the stationary vehicles, triggering a deadly chain reaction. Two passengers inside the good Samaritan’s vehicle were killed in the crash. The drivers who were outside the vehicles at the time were not injured. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is actively investigating the sequence of events and working to determine whether speed, visibility, or other factors played a role in the deadly incident.
