San Diego, CA – A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking his dog on Sunday evening in the Carmel Valley neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department. The deadly accident occurred around 6 p.m. in the 5000 block of Carmel Knolls Drive near Almondwood Way .Authorities say the man was walking a dog when he was hit by a westbound Lexus. He was found unresponsive at the scene and was rushed to Scripps Health in La Jolla, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Lexus remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
