Hollister, CA – Two people were injured in a head-on collision on State Route 25 in Hollister on Saturday evening, April 19, 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred around 8:18 p.m., just south of Best Road. Two vehicles collided head-on under unclear circumstances, with one of the cars overturning as a result of the impact .male occupants was In the aftermath of the crash, one of the male occupants was trappedmale occupant was able to inside the vehicle, while another male occupant was able to exit the car but suffered a broken leg. Emergency personnel responded to the scene quickly, airlifting one of the injured individuals to the Regional Medical Center in San Jose with serious injuries. The other patient was transported by ground ambulance to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose with major injuries. Authorities have confirmed that one of the drivers was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
