The deadly crash occurred at approximately 10:23 p.m. in the area of Knott Avenue and Younger Drive. According to police, a male pedestrian was walking westbound across Knott Avenue within the southbound lanes when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound in the No. 2 lane. Emergency responders from the Orange County Fire Authority arrived at the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the location . The driver of the vehicle involved in the incident stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
