1 Killed in Friday Morning Freeway Crash in Long Beach
Long Beach, CA (October 31, 2025) – One person was killed early Friday morning following a two-vehicle collision on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway at the Long Beach (710) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash was reported around 7:20 a.m., prompting a response from Long Beach firefighters and paramedics. Emergency crews arrived and performed life-saving measures on one of the victims; however, the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal crash. Traffic in the area was temporarily affected as crews cleared the scene and gathered evidence.
