The incident occurred when two motorcyclists became involved in a collision under circumstances that remain under investigation. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported both injured riders to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not yet been disclosed .Authorities temporarily restricted traffic on the roadway as they cleared the scene and launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at around 7:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes. Reports indicate that a motorcycle with two occupants was struck by another vehicle, causing the riders to be ejected onto the roadway. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported both victims to a nearby hospital with injuries described as moderate to serious. No other major injuries were reported. CHP is investigating the cause of the crash and whether speed or driver inattention played a role.
