Long Beach, CA – May 24, 2025 – A tragic crash involving a motor vehicle and a Metro train resulted in the death of a 21-year-old woman in Long Beach late Friday night, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The incident occurred at approximately 11:52 p.m. near the intersection of 12th Street and Long Beach Boulevard. Authorities reported that the victim, a 21-year-old woman from Compton, was driving a 2014 Infiniti Q50S southbound on Long Beach Boulevard without headlights. A 29-year-old man driving a 2019 Honda Accord attempted to turn southbound from Anaheim Street onto Long Beach Boulevard. To avoid being rear-ended by the speeding Infiniti, the Accord swerved and struck a guardrail. Meanwhile, the Infiniti lost control and collided with a Metro train. Paramedics arrived quickly and transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
