21-Year-Old Compton Woman Killed in Crash Involving Metro Train on Long Beach Boulevard

A tragic collision occurred late Friday night, May 23, 2025, near 12th Street and Long Beach Boulevard in Long Beach, California. A 21-year-old woman from Compton was driving a 2014 Infiniti Q50S southbound without headlights at high speed when she collided with a Metro train after swerving to avoid another vehicle. The driver was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Two male passengers in her vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No injuries were reported aboard the Metro train.
