Bicyclist Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County
Ventura County, CA. – A bicyclist was fatally struck by a vehicle while riding along the Pacific Coast Highway on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at about 11:15 a.m. on the northbound Pacific Coast Highway, just north of Sycamore Canyon Road. Authorities said the victim was leading a group of eight bicyclists traveling on the shoulder when they turned into the roadway and were struck by an oncoming vehicle. Emergency crews responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene further details were immediately available.
