Ontario, CA (October 21, 2025) – The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office has identified Clarence Nelson, 76, and Lisa Nelson, 69, both of Fontana, as two of the victims killed in a tragic multi-vehicle collision on the 10 Freeway near Milliken Avenue on Tuesday afternoon. According to reports, the fatal crash involved four trailers and four cars, creating a massive wreck that blocked multiple lanes of traffic. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and confirmed that Clarence and Lisa Nelson were pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities also confirmed that a third person was killed in the crash, though their identity has not yet been released. The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, which is working to determine the sequence of events and whether speed, driver error, or other factors played a role in the deadly pileup.

October 24, 2025 – Ontario, CA – Tragedy struck in the early afternoon when a violent chain-reaction collision on the westbound I-10 Freeway near Milliken Avenue claimed the lives of several individuals, including former assistant basketball coach Clarence Nelson and his wife, Lisa Nelson.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 1:10 p.m. when a commercial semi-truck driven by a 21-year-old driver allegedly failed to slow for stopped traffic, causing a high-speed impact that set off a multi-vehicle pile-up involving cars and other large trucks.
Emergency crews arriving at the scene found several vehicles badly damaged and the roadway scattered with debris. The Nelsons were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others also died in the crash, and four more individuals were hospitalized with serious injuries
