Cajon Pass, CA – May 15, 2025 – Donald Leroy Post, 58, tragically passed away following a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening on the southbound 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road. The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. Post was riding his motorcycle in the No. 1 lane when he collided with a silver Chevrolet sedan. The impact caused Post to be ejected from his motorcycle. Emergency responders quickly airlifted Post to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for serious injuries. Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries. The circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation. CHP officials urge anyone with information about the crash to come forward.

On Sunday, May 11, 2025, a fatal motorcycle crash occurred on the southbound I-15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass, approximately one mile south of the Oak Hill Road exit. The collision involved a motorcycle and a silver Chevrolet sedan. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was found lying in the traffic lanes before being moved to the right shoulder by emergency responders. Due to the severity of the injuries, a Mercy Air medical helicopter was summoned to the scene and airlifted the rider to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The rider was reportedly breathing on his own after being knocked unconscious by the impact of the collision. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. The incident led to a temporary closure of all southbound lanes as crews worked to clear the scene and restore traffic flow
