Human Remains Found in Suitcase at Cesar Park Under Investigation
Oakland, CA – March 4 – Authorities are investigating the discovery of human remains found inside a suitcase at a park in Oakland last month, according to reports. A man told investigators he was digging in Cesar Park on February 16 when he uncovered a suitcase containing decomposed legs and feet. The man reportedly claimed he had been searching for buried treasure at the time of the discovery. Officials noted that the case marks the second discovery of human remains in Oakland within a matter of weeks. Earlier, on February 1, another set of remains was located in the 9700 block of San Leandro Street in East Oakland. Law enforcement has not yet released the identity of the victim or confirmed whether the two discoveries are connected. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the case.
