Bakersfield, CA, June 10, 2025 – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who died in an April crash on White Lane as 31-year-old Justin Dewayne Stalker of Rosamond, the Kern County Coroner’s Office confirmed. The collision occurred around 8:25 p.m. on April 25 in the 2600 block of White Lane. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, Stalker was walking in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle under circumstances that remain under investigation. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced Stalker dead. Investigators have indicated that alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors in the crash.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident occurred around 8:25 p.m. when a red Jeep SUV was traveling eastbound on White Lane. The vehicle struck Stalker as he crossed the road outside of a marked crosswalk. Crews arriving at the scene pronounced him deceased. The driver remained and cooperated fully; investigators have determined that neither impairment nor speeding appears to have contributed to the collision
