Hemet, June 28, 2025, A fatal hit-and-run crash took the life of a bicyclist on Saturday evening in Hemet. The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 75-year-old Kenneth Lauer of Hemet. The accident occurred around 5:36 p.m. on Domenigoni Parkway near State Street. Authorities reported that Lauer was riding his bicycle along Domenigoni Parkway when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render aid . Emergency personnel responded quickly, but Lauer was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is ongoing to identify and locate the suspect vehicle involved in the hit-and-run. No description of the vehicle or driver has been released at this time.
