Mahammad Humbatov Killed after Car Crashes into Los Feliz Apartment on N. Western Avenue
Los Feliz, CA – A tragic accident occurred early Wednesday morning, January 15, when a sedan crashed into an apartment building in the Los Feliz neighborhood, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
The incident took place at 1:38 a.m. at 1836 N. Western Avenue, south of Franklin Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the driver of the sedan lost control while traveling on N. Western Avenue, causing the vehicle to slam through the apartment building.
The crash resulted in the death of 59-year-old Mahammad Humbatov, who was struck by the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. A 9-year-old boy was also injured and transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Two individuals were trapped under the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters.
The driver of the sedan, a 34-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
