Man Killed in Anderson Car Accident on Interstate 5 near Balls Ferry Road
Anderson, CA – A 25-year-old man was killed in a high-speed collision early Tuesday morning in Anderson, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 1:20 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5 near Balls Ferry Road. A white Jeep SUV, traveling at high speed, rear-ended a blue Mazda sedan driven by a 64-year-old man from Washington. The force of the impact sent the Jeep off the roadway, where it hit a guardrail and rolled down an embankment. The Jeep’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Two male passengers in the Jeep, aged 16 and 18, were transported to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. The Mazda’s driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
