San Jose, CA – August 31, 2025 – A man in a wheelchair was struck and killed in a tragic crash early Sunday morning in San Jose, according to the San Jose Police Department. The collision occurred at about 2:34 a.m. at Hayes Avenue and Lily Ann Way. Authorities said the victim was crossing Lily Ann Way when he was hit by a northbound silver 2017 Mercedes sedan. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
