San Jose, CA, July 28, 2025 – A man lost his life Monday afternoon after his truck crashed and caught fire in San Jose, according to the San Jose Police Department. The accident was reported around 3:08 p.m. near Berryessa Road and Summerpark Court. Investigators said the man was driving a 2001 black Ford truck, speeding west on Berryessa Road, when another car changed lanes in front of him. The driver swerved, hit the center divider, and slammed into a tree. The truck caught fire after impact. First responders quickly extinguished the flames and rushed the driver to a hospital, but he later died from his injuries.
