Fresno County, CA – A man was killed and a woman seriously injured in a collision early Friday morning at the intersection of American and Buttonwillow avenues, just north of Reedley. The crash occurred around 6:49 a.m. when a woman driving a silver Toyota Prius reportedly pulled out into the path of a white Toyota Corolla heading north on Buttonwillow Avenue. The impact fatally injured the male driver of the Corolla, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. Her condition has not been disclosed. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

On Thursday morning, June 5, 2025, a fatal two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of American and Buttonwillow Avenues, just north of Reedley in Fresno County. According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman driving a Toyota Prius pulled out in front of a northbound white sedan on Buttonwillow Avenue, causing the collision. The male driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman in the Prius was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno. No other individuals were involved in the crash. Authorities have stated that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
