Glenn County, CA – September 9, 2025 – A serious crash involving a vehicle and horseback riders left four people injured Tuesday evening in Glenn County, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision occurred around 7:45 p.m. on County Road 16 near County Road HH. Authorities said 34-year-old James Sudberry was driving a Ford Explorer when he struck four horseback riders traveling westbound. The impact ejected the riders from their horses. Among the injured, 27-year-old Matthew Meester of Orland suffered severe head and neck injuries and was transported to a hospital. Antonio Guerrero was also reported injured, along with two other riders. The incident remains under investigation by CHP.
