Michelle Lawrence Killed in Fresno Crash at Floral and Willow
Fresno, CA. – 28-year-old Michelle Lawrence of Fresno has been identified as the woman killed in a car crash on Saturday night at the intersection of Floral and Willow avenues, near Selma. The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. when 24-year-old Saul Galvez Diaz, traveling eastbound on Floral Avenue, drifted across the center line and collided head-on with a westbound Nissan. Lawrence, who was seated in the front passenger seat of Diaz’s vehicle, was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries. A nine-year-old girl, also in the rear passenger seat, was hospitalized with major injuries. Diaz, who sustained moderate injuries, was later determined to be under the influence of alcohol and will face DUI charges upon his release from the hospital. The driver and front passenger of the Nissan, who were also injured, were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
