Oakdale, CA, July 9, 2025 – A 48-year-old man from Modesto was killed in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 120 near Valley Home Road, authorities confirmed. The fatal collision happened when the Modesto man, driving a 2024 Lexus sedan westbound on Highway 120, veered into the eastbound lane for unknown reasons. The Lexus sideswiped a 2014 Kenworth combination truck traveling in the opposite direction. After the initial impact, the Lexus then collided head-on with a 2020 Dodge Ram that was following behind the Kenworth. The driver of the Lexus sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. The drivers of the Kenworth and Dodge Ram were not seriously injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.
