One Killed, Two Injured in Semi-Truck and Sedan Collision at Highway 137 and Road 196 in Lindsay
Lindsay, CA – December 8, 2025 – A deadly collision involving a semi-truck and a sedan left one person dead and two others injured Monday night at a Lindsay intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred just before 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 137 and Road 196. CHP officials reported that a semi-truck hauling corrosive material was traveling eastbound on Highway 137 when it collided with a white sedan heading southbound on Road 196. The impact forced the big rig off the roadway, where it struck a tree, overturned, and spilled its load. One person inside the sedan died at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released. The truck driver was hospitalized with major injuries, while a juvenile occupant of the sedan was transported for treatment in unknown condition.
