One Person Suffers Major Injuries in Crash on Lakeview Avenue in Riverside

Riverside, CA, July 16, 2023 – A serious two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning left one person hospitalized with major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol. The accident occurred around 5:42 a.m. on May 18 in the 28430 block of Lakeview Avenue. Authorities said a white BMW M4 and a black Nissan Sentra were involved in the crash, which resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.Investigators reported that the Nissan Sentra struck a tree during the crash. A female occupant in the Nissan reportedly struck the windshield and lost consciousness. Emergency responders from the Riverside Fire Department and paramedics were dispatched to the scene shortly after the incident. One person was transported to Riverside University Health System Medical Center with serious injuries. The extent of injuries to others involved, if any, has not been disclosed.

Motorcyclist Killed in Solo Crash on SR-67 in Lakeside

On July 16, 2023, a tragic solo motorcycle accident occurred on northbound State Route 67 near Slaughterhouse Canyon Road in Lakeside, California. The rider, identified as 65-year-old Stephen John Corbin of Yucca Valley, was traveling on his 2022 Harley-Davidson when, for reasons still under investigation, he veered off the roadway and struck a concrete curb. The impact caused him to be ejected from the motorcycle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol responded promptly to the incident, closing both northbound lanes of SR-67 to facilitate the investigation and emergency response. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed that Corbin died from multiple blunt-force injuries.
