The collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. on June 28 at the intersection of West Taylor and Spring streets. Authorities say the woman was walking southbound in a crosswalk when she was struck by a gray 2022 Tesla Model X traveling westbound on West Taylor. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and initially stabilized. However, police were notified on Monday that she had succumbed to her injuries on Friday, nearly a week after the incident.
