Plane Crash in Fullerton Traps Pilot and Passenger, Both Rescued and Transported to Trauma Center
Fullerton, CA – November 25, 2024, 1:46 PM – A plane crash near Fullerton’s Artesia Boulevard and Gilbert Street left two individuals trapped inside their aircraft after it crashed into a tree just short of the Fullerton airport. At approximately 1:45 PM, Fullerton police and fire crews were dispatched to the scene, where they found the single-engine plane upright, having also struck a fire hydrant. The two occupants, both in trauma, were quickly extricated from the wreckage by firefighters, who worked swiftly to free them within 15 minutes. They were then transported to the UCI trauma center, though their current conditions remain unknown. The plane, a 1969 Mooney M20F 4-seater (tail number N9245V), had reportedly taken off before circling back to attempt a landing at the nearby airport.
