Victorville, CA – A San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy was killed Monday afternoon following a crash that occurred during the pursuit of a stolen vehicle.The fatal collision happened at approximately 12:09 p.m. at the intersection of Seneca and El Evado roads.Deputy Hector Cuevas Jr., a six-year veteran of the department stationed in Victorville, was in pursuit of a suspect when his patrol vehicle collided with another car making a turn at the intersection.Cuevas was fatally injured in the crash. The driver of the second vehicle, a 23-year-old woman, was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
