Silverdale, WA (January 23, 2025) – A woman lost her life in a tragic head-on collision on Highway 303 in Silverdale on Tuesday evening.

The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. on January 21, just east of Highway 3. According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), a 79-year-old man was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse southbound on the northbound lanes of Highway 303 when he collided head-on with a northbound 2016 Ford Transit.

The 61-year-old woman driving the Ford, from Bremerton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 79-year-old man, driving the Chevrolet, was transported to St. Michael Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet is now facing charges of vehicular homicide as authorities continue their investigation into the crash.
