Snohomish, WA – The Washington State Patrol has identified the women involved in a fatal head-on crash that occurred on December 30, 2024, on Highway 2.

Jennifer L. Lang, 50, of Monroe, and a 50-year-old woman from Stanwood, were the victims of the tragic collision, which took place around 6:38 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 2 and State Route 9. The circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear.

Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway was closed in both directions between State Route 9 and 88th Street Southeast for nearly five hours as authorities investigated the incident.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
