SUV Crashes Into Oceanside Home, Driver Arrested
Oceanside, CA, July 19, 2025 – A woman was arrested early Saturday morning after crashing an SUV into a home in Oceanside, causing significant structural damage but no injuries to the residents. The incident occurred around 2:50 a.m. on July 19, near the intersection of Vandergrift and Parker. According to officials, the SUV plowed through a fence and into a residence located at 644 Elaine Avenue. First responders arrived to find two people outside the vehicle and assessed them for injuries. The driver underwent a field sobriety test and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. Oceanside building inspectors were called to evaluate the structural integrity of the home, which sustained notable damage. The homeowners reported that the force of the impact pushed their bed across the room while they were sleeping.
