Torrance, CA – December 2, 2024 – Torrance police are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred around 6 p.m. on December 2 near an industrial park. Officers responded to a suspicious circumstances call at the 2900 block of Oregon Court, near Maple Avenue and Del Amo Boulevard. Upon making contact with the suspect, a shooting occurred. The suspect’s body was later covered with a tent on the roadway. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation, including whether the suspect fired at officers or what led to the use of deadly force.
