Buckeye, AZ – A state trooper was hospitalized after a crash involving a suspected DUI driver on Wednesday evening in Buckeye, the Arizona Department of Public Safety reported. The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Interstate 10 near Watson Road. According to authorities, a Dodge Ram 3500 truck hauling a trailer with three vehicles aboard drifted off the roadway and struck a DPS cruiser that was parked along the highway . The trooper inside the cruiser suffered suspected head injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment t. The driver of the Dodge truck was uninjured and remained at the scene. He was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
