Two Injured in Collision Involving Sheriff’s Patrol Car at Blanco and Davis Roads in Salinas
Salinas, CA, May 21, 2025 – Two individuals were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision involving a Monterey County Sheriff’s Office patrol car on Wednesday morning in Salinas. The crash occurred at approximately 10 a.m. on May 21 at the intersection of Blanco Road and Davis Road, according to the California Highway Patrol . Authorities stated that a sheriff’s patrol vehicle was traveling southbound on Blanco Road with its emergency lights activated when it entered the intersection and collided with an Audi sedan that was heading eastbound on Davis Road. The force of the collision caused the Audi to spin out and strike a nearby utility pole. The driver of the Audi, identified as a 55-year-old woman from Seaside, suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. One of the deputies in the patrol car also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
