Two Students and Driver Injured in Santa Cruz County School Bus Accident on Highway 17
Santa Cruz County, CA – Two students and a driver were injured in a collision involving a school bus and a Mini Cooper Monday morning on southbound Highway 17 near Scotts Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at approximately 9:50 a.m. on May 18. According to CHP reports, a 67-year-old woman from San Jose was driving a Mini Cooper when she rear-ended a school bus. Following the impact, her vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree . The driver was taken to Valley Medical Center with major injuries. The school bus was carrying two adults and twenty-four children at the time of the crash. Two students suffered minor injuries in the accident.
