He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the involved vehicle was transported to a hospital with minor injuries . Authorities stated that drugs and alcohol were not suspected as factors in the crash. The intersection remained closed for several hours for investigation and cleanup, reopening around 5 p.m.
