HOUSTON, TX, July 24, 2025 – A tragic incident during a neighborhood garage sale left a woman in her 50s dead Wednesday night, according to the Houston Police Department. The accident occurred at about 9:04 p.m. on 3720 Carothers Street, where several vehicles were being moved around the property during the sale. Authorities say the woman was possibly pinned between two cars under unclear circumstances.She was rushed to a local hospital by ambulance, but despite lifesaving efforts, she was pronounced deceased. The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Charges have been filed at this time, but HPD officials stated that the investigation is still in its early stages.
