Woman Killed, Child and Man Injured After Red-Light Crash at S. Watt Avenue and Kiefer Boulevard in Rosemont
Rosemont, CA, June 9, 2025 – A devastating crash at the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Kiefer Boulevard on Sunday evening left one woman dead and two others, including a child, injured. The collision occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m. on June 8. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a Lexus sedan and an Infiniti sedan. Preliminary findings indicate that one of the vehicles ran a red light at the intersection, triggering the violent two-car collision. Authorities have not confirmed which driver was at fault. The woman driving the Infiniti, who had a male passenger and a child in the car, was transported to a hospital with major injuries but sadly died while receiving medical treatment. The man and the child also sustained injuries and were treated at a nearby hospital. The male driver of the Lexus remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. The crash remains under investigation.
